Inaugural O.W.L. Awards honored Athens area employees
Athens Tech Founda on presented its inaugural Outstanding
Workforce Leadership (O.W.L.) Awards and Luncheon at the
Classic Center on November 13, 2014. This luncheon offered
companies the opportunity to recognize the o en unsung
heroes of their industry, the employees. Employees from 22
different companies in the Athens‐Clarke County area were
shown apprecia on for their hard work and dedica on.
“As employers we should want to recognize our people and
teams,” said Steve Hollis, co‐owner of Power Partners and
honorary chairman of the Awards Commi ee. “The O.W.L.
Awards are a great way to do so among our colleagues.”
“The awards also support Athens Technical College, which in
turn reinvests in our community through the educa on of our
current and future team members.”
And even our very own Ryan Moore was recognized at the
awards. “We wanted to honor Ryan Moore at this year’s
O.W.L. awards for his leadership and vision in the community,”
shares Randy Davidson, CEO of Athens CEO who nominated
Ryan. “Ryan and his team have posi oned Athens‐Clarke
County as a premier loca on for new businesses looking to
locate in Georgia.”
