  Georgia Quick Start is Georgia’s primary discretionary incentive for job creation and retention, and the #1 workforce development  program in the nation. Since its inception in 1967, Quick Start has trained more than 1,132,720 Georgians through 6,650 projects,  each year building their reputation on solid partnerships and successful businesses. 88% of Quick Start FY2014 projects supported Georgia’s advanced  manufacturing operations—the foundation of our economy.  70% of projects were located outside Metro Atlanta,  presenting 89% of FY2014 trainees. Quick Start delivered 123 customized workforce training programs to companies creating or retaining jobs in  Georgia.  10,024 jobs were created or  saved with Quick Start’s help in FY2014. Attracting Foreign Investment Quick Start attracts new business and investment to Georgia from around the world. In FY2014, Quick Start delivered 35% of its projects to companies of international origin.
