120 EDITÉUR PLUS Saint Rose’s charm lies in her quirkiness. One such quirk is drawing inspiration from strange places. She is an artistic person who likes to describe herself as extremely awkward. Lately, the theme of her work has been Black Feminism and Identity. In line with this, she has focused on reflecting parts of herself. She is currently showing girls like herself to emphasise the fact that being a ‘black girl’ doesn’t just mean one thing, trapped in one category. Her favourite work is produced by Takashi Murakami. He became a firm favourite because his work at Louis Vuitton took art out of art galleries and made it more accessible. He changed her perception in a way that has allowed her to think more broadly of her contribution. “I really don’t like the elitist aspect of art, so that changed my entire perspective.” EDITÉUR PLUS / THE TWELFTH ISSUE
