When they design a product , they spend many hours , and even days or weeks , to finalize a scale drawing of the product . With the design then finalized , they go to all the suppliers of materials they know in order to source the best materials to be used when manufacturing the product . In most cases , they will have hardware custom made for them according to their designs in order to ensure that it is literally one of a kind and completely unique to Eden & Co . Only after they have sourced the best materials for the design , they would start doing costing analyses in order to determine the selling price . Their philosophy has always been to find the best materials possible and to use those – if the products do not sell , they would rather stop making the product than compromise on quality just to find cheaper materials in order to sell the product at a cheaper price . Quality always comes first , and if you can succeed in providing the best quality , there is always a premium to be gained – they prefer theirs to be in terms of returning customers rather than a higher selling price .
Form , function , and quality are key when they choose any of their components . They source their leather from a local tannery . The tannery has been in the leather trade for many years and has experience in assisting them to get the right leather for the right product . Most of their hardware comes from a local supplier that produces all the items especially for
