the beginning when they were still a
small company with limited resourc-
es. However, through the years they
definitely learned that some chal-
lenges they had to face for a reason,
as overcoming these just improved
their business in one way or anoth-
er. Good relationships, he explains, is
extremely important and beneficial
to have, especially sound and per-
sonal relationships with everyone in
the value chain. This is true for both

Nikke’s influence from the leather in-
dustry was detail, “One never realizes
how much detail, time, sketches and
research goes into the design of a bag
until you do it yourself.” It has also
taught her not to be afraid to start
over again when she is not 100% sat-
isfied with the design of a bag. She
also learned to trust her instincts and
gut, when it comes to designs and
balances.
The leather and the design go hand-
in-hand. The products are designed
to do justice to the natural character
of the leather they use. Leather and
wood are the only products that tend
to get more beautiful the older it gets.
There is nothing as beautiful as the
story of leather that has been used
over generations to them. The de-
sign is, therefore, a delicate balance
between leather, beauty, and func-
tionality. If either one of the three is
not perfect, they do not bother to de-
sign the bag.
