Helen Zajkowski H2O SCULPTURE 12”X5” X 5”  http://helenzajkowski.webs.com/ The wooden frame work of an hourglass is kept and the sandglass is replaced with a bottle of water. The structure of an hourglass is a metaphor of time. This piece speaks of the urgency, and is a call to action to keep water fresh and sparkling clean. We need to take care of our water so water will take care of us. Time is of the essence. We do not want to lament, like the ancient mariner who was stuck in the middle of the sea, and the water was not for consumption, “Water, water everywhere, not a drop to drink.” Water is a life giving force; let us keep it this way.
