With a lot of younger actors, all they really care about is looking good and it doesn’t really matter what the scene is. So there are times, depending on the project, when you just don’t need to look pretty! That has really been an adjustment for me. What are some of major challenges of your job? Do you ever feel like giving people you meet advice on their makeup? That’s always a difficult call. But one thing I have found, unless someone is working for me, unsolicited advice I do not give. I’m that girl that feels if people want to know, ask me. If you don’t want to know, don’t ask me because I will give you an honest answer! I always try to be tactful but I am always going to tell you the truth. If you haven’t asked, I have learned to just be quiet. The hours can be very challenging. The locations can be very challenging. I remember being on a show and having to put waders on and go down two stories into a tank to touch up actors’ makeup. You could be on a set where there is a snow covered mountain and just out of frame there are 100 people standing right on the edge of this beautiful scenery. It’s pretty shocking to the average person who has never been on a set just how much is involved. How do you define “creativity?” What have you enjoyed most about your professional work? to gather up on the side of the road, and put in a basket or the way we select a color. That’s all part of our creative expression. We all have our own, unique ways of creative expression. It’s just how we put it together.  I have had the opportunity to work with a lot of nice people. There have been a lot of crazy people, but there have been a lot of lovely people too. I have had opportunities to travel to some beautiful locations and I’ve been paid well for doing some really fun, creative work. We’re all creative. For me, the definition of creativity is being able to express a person’s uniqueness in whatever medium they choose and through the stimulation of senses. We are all made in God’s image and God is the ultimate Creator. We all have our special ways of expressing ourselves, by our voices, our thoughts, what things we choose In 2013, Patrice G.
