Transatlantic Education Leadership Exchange 2017 Summit
February 6 , 2017 , Alpharetta , Georgia - SMART Education Review --- Georgia Department of Education , Finnish American Chamber of Commerce Southeast , and SMART Education Exchange , are co-hosting the 4th Annual Transatlantic Education Leadership Exchange ( TELE ) 2017 Summit in Atlanta .
Theme of the 2017 Summit is ‘ Innovation in preK-12 Education ’. Participants will share lessons learned , best practices , and discuss how Transatlantic Education Leadership Exchange ( TELE ) can benefit Educators and Students in their communities .
Since 2012 , TELE has created strong alliances between Education and Business Leaders , naming the state of Georgia and Finland as examples . The state of Georgia has had strong bilateral commerce with Finland for decades . Now the TELE is expanding the relationship aimed at strengthening Education cooperation , and Trade and Investment . “ The Education relationship between Finland and Georgia continues to grow . It is our ambition to ensure and add more Educator and Student Exchanges across the state of Georgia and U . S ., and Foreign Direct Investment ” in Finland and U . S ., said Minna LeVine , President , Finnish American Chamber of Commerce Southeast , and President , Scandinavian American Foundation of Georgia .
The Education , Business , Finance , Government , NGO and Non-Profit Leaders will join the TELE 2017 Summit again in Atlanta , with a goal of expanding TELE program , and expanding Education business opportunities . “ It is vital to build strong Educator to Educator , and Education Business to Business relationships to create real change in schools and communities where we operate . These partnerships are vital for TELE participants ,” said Tana Torrano , TELE program Administrator , CEO , MarketVision .
“ An important aspect of the TELE is to maintain relationships with Education Leaders and Businesses to attract more local support and investment in Education technology , products and services . There are currently many Education companies established in both regions , which accounts for thousands of jobs . Georgia schools will host Educators from Finland during 2017 in their classroom for up to six weeks , the next Education Trade Mission from the U . S . to Finland is scheduled for September 2017 , and we will continue to engage more schools and businesses in TELE through SMART Community Exchanges in key locations ”, adds LeVine .
