NABVETS MILITARY WOMEN’S CHAPTER #0088 Constantly Bridging the Gap NABVETS Military Women’s Chapter #0088 promote good health and positive lifestyles by sponsoring events such as the Health Fair & the 5K Run Walk. The NMWC #0088 is consistently bridging the gap and diligently striving to create positive lifestyles for the veterans and community they serve. NMWC #0088 sponsored the 1st Annual Anniversary 5K Run/Walk on June 28, 2014. The event was held to support the Wounded Warriors Battalion at Camp Lejeune, NC. That evening, the chapter also held their 1st Annual Anniversary Banquet celebrating their first year as a chapter. During the banquet, the chapter received a Proclamation from Mayor Samuel Phillips declaring June 28th to be NMWC #0088 Day. NMWC #0088 members, including Sheila White, Lynette Walker, and Hester Bryant also enjoyed a class of Zumba with the instructor and owner of the Ida Mae Cancer and Wellness Center. NMWC #0088 also held a free Community Health Fair on September 6, 2014 to spread the word about health and resources available in and out of the community area.
