They are sometimes in a state of mild disbelief. That is always very flattering and keeps me motivated and inspired.

Chris: Favorite part of being an artist?

Todd: There is definitely a whole lot of freedom involved. I don't have to answer to a boss, and I get to set my own schedule. It is also very satisfying doing what you love for a living.

Chris: What's the downside of being an artist?

Todd: Sometimes it is difficult not having a steady weekly paycheck, and living off of commissions and other freelance work. Sometimes a client doesn't pay you on time for a project. This creates headaches for many artists.

Chris: What's a dream project for you?

Todd: That would have to be getting my work on display at Gallery Arte Fino at the Venetian Hotel on the Vegas strip. There are many elite figurative artists on display in that gallery and their work can often fetch very high prices when it is on display there. It is a pretty impressive gallery.

Chris: Best piece of advice that you have been given in life?

Todd: To definitely quite working 9 to 5 jobs and to pursue my art full time.
