Chris: How did you get started in modeling?
Alexis: I recall the mornings, overlooking the oceans when my mom and I would talk about my favorite hobbies. Contrary to the life of Cara Delevigne, I began as an actor and soon after, got into print ads, introducing me into modeling. I've been eager for it since! Every gig is different.
Chris: What's your most memorable/favorite modeling gig?
Alexis: I would say something with adventure. Last year's Skoal smokeless tobacco print ads take this one. Between jumping into rivers and hopping sand dunes on motocross, the adrenaline rush still thrives in me!
Chris: If you could collaborate on a shoot with any model out there who would it be and why?
Alexis: I am going out on a limb here and say, Selena Gomez. Her poise and delicate features would complement mine. Our personalities are like fireworks so a photoshoot set might start to sparkle.
Chris: Future goals and aspirations?
Alexis: I want to end this year strong with another movie role and two more print jobs. Finishing my website is crucial, but I am such a perfectionist. It's hard making decisions sometimes!
One goal for my future is that I need to be a better decision maker. I spend lots of time reading about different CEOs. One CEO stated, "There is a time for thinking and a time for doing. Once decisions are made, we keep moving forward; no time to wonder 'what if.'"
Chris: If you could have any superpower what would it be and why?
Alexis: The ability to foresee the future! I would like to see the outcome of everything ahead of time. Not only to read the future but those pathways as well. Every step we take leads a different path in life so why not see those paths?
Chris: What do you like to do in your downtime?
Alexis: I would say gardening and volunteer work. I like to sing to my animals! It is very therapeutic, and the animals love the bonding. It is a special time to value the little things in life.
Chris: Where is your happy place?
Alexis: Spain is my happy place; it is such a beautiful country. I love being in the beautifully flowered courtyards in Spain.
Locally, my happy place is my backyard. I spend a lot of time thinking underneath my tree shade with my feet grounded in the grass. That makes me smile.
Chris: Any guilty pleasures?
Alexis: Oreos & milk! I could eat an entire tray of Oreos by myself. I know it's bad so I do my best to limit my intake to twice a year.
