Have you ever asked yourself what items you simply cannot live without in your makeup bag? Coming from a makeup artist, the answer would simply be, ‘all items are of dire NECCESSITY!’; but the reality is that your average woman won’t carry a trolley case as her purse, so here is an item that is a crucial MUST-HAVE in your makeup bag.
A brow pencil is an essential item of your makeup bag. With the current trends in makeup, a well-groomed, shaped, and filled-in eyebrow can make or break your look of the day, LITERALLY! My #1 choice would be the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz (www.anastasiabeverlyhills.com, $21); the Brow Wiz comes in nine varying shades ranging from Blonde to Ebony. For a more inexpensive option, choose the NYX Micro Brow Pencil (www.nyxcosmetics.com, $10), which comes in eight shades ranging from Blonde to Black. These pencils are efficient in use and serve a dual-purpose within one pencil, which makes them a must-have! On one end of the pencil you will uncap an attached spooley. For those unfamiliar with the term, a spooley resembles a mascara wand but is used to comb through and brush your eyebrows into their desired shape. On the other end of each pencil you will uncap and very fine retractable, self-sharpening pencil. Because of the fine diameter of the pencils, you can fill in and define your eyebrows expertly, and naturally using hair-like strokes, without ever needing a SHARPENER!
