Zelinda: What is your musical background, who exposed you to music?

J King: My family. My dad jammed alot of rock, salsa, merengue, my mom toured with the mid texas Symphony and listend to dance and soul, and my eldest sister tiffany introduced me to Rnb and Hip hop...

Zelinda: Musically, what are your biggest influences and who are your favorite musicians?

J KIng: Wow quite a few, james brown, Michael Jackson, craig David, sting, jaheim, genuwine, biggie smalls, Bruno Marz... put it this way im inspired by all kinds of music

Zelinda: If you could work with some of today's established artists or producers, to move your game to the top, with whom would you like to collaborate?

J King: Dj Khalid, Drake, Bruno Marz, Pharrell, daft punk

Zelinda: IIn what ways has your newest music changed from when you first started?

J KIng: The quality and message as the quality of my life has improved so has quality of my music along with the lyrics

Zelinda: What are the main inspirations for the lyrics you write?

J King: Life Experiences would be my inspiration to my music

Zelinda: What would be your dream venue in which to perform?

J King: Madison Square Garden

Zelinda: What's next for J King. Walk us through what the future looks like.

J KIng: Up next. I have sxsw the texas heat wave tour and a distribution deal that I wll be pushing my music through. There are alot of big moves that I am getting ready to execute. And on top of that I have a chance to get signed with some major labels and I've gotten some great deals on the table to look at.
