VONNIE COLE is kind of the same as most rapper of this day and age. I grew up in NewHaven CT. In a city like mine, we never really had shit to do but get into trouble. When people from the outside think of Connecticut. they think of the rich suburban life but. were im from we never see that! i grew up around drugs, guns, gang banging and everything else that the HOOD life blessed us with. I Didnt really have a pops. So i went to the block thats what made me a man, the streets tought me what my moms couldnt. Around me all you could do was play ball or rap. i chose to rap on the block instead of play ball, god didnt bless me with that talent, Ive been rapping litteraly before i can remember i just never took it to a serious level until my bestfriend was shot and killed. right before he past we had a convo and he said to me " yo son! you and eazy nice with this rap shit you and him need to take it serious! which fucked me up becouse after he said that he also told me he felt like he gonna get killed. six days later he gets killed, when i was waiting for him to come to my crib so we can play NBA 2k lol. So anyway i do this shit for my boy. i talk about the shit i talk about in my raps because i either did it or seen it done. I Didnt really have a pops.
