At a younger age Jermaine had dreams of playing basketball and was actually really talented. As he grew older though, he began realizing his Finch. goals. potential in expressing his words through the art of Hip-Hop music. Unfortunately his biggest challenge had yet to come. Being a resident of Toronto proved very challenging for any up and coming artist looking to express themselves through hip hop music. In May of 2009 he met a local artist/producer by the name of “Street Justyce” who would provide him with the tools needed to take that next step. After numerous studio sessions and long nights he released his first anticipated mixtape in November of 2009 titled “Welcome 2 My World”. Having sold over 1000 mixtapes through the streets alone he knew this was only the beginning in his quest to make it as an artist. Many people embraced his energetic flow and flamboyant style and began appreciating the different sound they heard from J-Good. Using this as motivation he went back to the studio and produced his second highly anticipated mixtape/album titled “Welcome 2 My World Part 2”, which was released September 2010 and has since generate a lot of buzz within the Toronto hip-hop community. J-Good is currently set to release his third mixtape titled “Tinted Window Man” which is set to release August 2011. You can catch J-Good at one of his monthly performances at various venues around the city by subscribing to his facebook for all upcoming event listings. With his serious dedication and work ethic it is inevitable that he will eventually achieve the success he was born to achieve.
