Las Vegas hospital relies on teamwork and
processes to treat mass shooting victims
Healthcare providers know there’s no such thing as a guaranteed day off, or
a “regular” shift. But late Sunday evening is usually pretty slow at a hospital,
even in a busy population center like Las Vegas.
Usually, but not always. And on the night of Oct. 1, 2017, the staff at Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center
were tested as never before following a gunman’s attack on a nearby country music festival.
