Captain’s Report
It was a pleasure to host our National chairman, Richard
Plumb, at our Ebotse game. Obviously he enjoyed the
prizes on offer as he walked away with most of them.
We had 4 prospective members and 4 visitors in the
field (please don’t forget the reduced rate of R150 that we offer 1st time visitors). It
was my pleasure to award Reg Rawlings his 100 game badge and Joe Gumede (10
years), Anthony Scribante (15 years), Johan Beytell (20 years) their long service ties. It
was great to have Jimmy Sales play his first game since his health scare and Polla de
Jongh fit enough to at least marshall. We look forward to having him fully fit and
able to participate.
The highlight of my year as Captain thus far occurred at the Ebotse game, where it
was my privilege and honour on behalf of Easterns Nomads to induct Philip Michaux
as an Honorary member for his contribution to Nomads nationwide. Thank you for
all you do for us and congratulations on this prestigious award.
11 Easterns Nomads travelled to Botswana Nationals and I am proud to announce
that Easterns, for a second year in a row has the Champion of Champions amongst
their members.
Entries for the mystery tour are out and there are limited numbers so please ensure
that your payment accompanies your entry and that it is properly referenced.
