Captain’s Report
The weather, although slightly cool, at least allowed a
disappointing field of 91 players, of which only 85 were
Easterns Nomads to replay our game from May, which was
washed out . As usual State Mines was in great condition
for this time of year ,with typical winter conditions
ensuring hard , fast greens and surprisingly, the days
average was 28.5.
Our gratitude once again to management, staff and members of SMCC for allowing us
the use of their facilities as well as the starters, who had the field running ahead of time.
Saul van Greunen and Hyundai Bryanston once again sponsored the day with Terry and
Kathy at the tables to brighten up a gloomy day. A great big thank you for your
contributions.
I had the pleasure of inducting Kobus Bredehann and Huntley Harris – welcome
gentleman.
Please remember that the What’s App group that was created is intended to inform
members in good standing of Nomads related activity only and is not a chat group.
Our next away tour will be the Pentangular Trophy which will be held at Sabie River
Bungalows on 27/28 August, so please get your entries into Rod Williams - the first 20
paid for entrants will be accepted.
