How I became The Easter Bunny Jess Wallace I can’t tell you exactly where I live or where I come from because you might try and find me. You won’t mean any harm but we have to have our precautions. All I can tell you is that it was Easter, 1998. I was going through a bad time in my life. The walls were crowding in on me like playground bullies and all I could think about was getting out of this nightmare. I needed someone to pinch me so I would wake up and run, but my feet were superglued to the floor. That night I finally plucked up the courage and escaped. I ran away from all of my problems. I spent weeks on the streets, not knowing what to do. But then someone came to me. Or better still, something. They weren’t showing any skin, and I couldn’t see any of their face or body. Who was this man in the mask? They were about 5 foot and had two sticky out teeth. Why were they coming for me? He asked me if I wanted to go on an adventure and told me what kind it would be. He was amazing. Kind and caring, he told me how to get into the Easter spirit. Then he took me to his home and removed his mask. He was the Easter Bunny! I moved to Easter Island and accompanied him on his missions. And what happened to my old, depressed self? I grew into a happy, good person. Thanks to him.
