LETTER FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT We are finally seeing some dryer weather in the month of September. We just completed our last greens aerification of the year and they are healing quite nicely. As you all know, over the past few months, we experienced a lot of rain. As the grounds gets softer, areas begin to get compacted. To alleviate the compacted soils, we have also been using “slicing” practices throughout the facility. These practices help increase percolation of water and help the soil dry out. We have begun in trying to restore the waste area on #5 and #7. Over the next couple of months, will be applying three applications of herbicides to remove the vegetation. Thank you for your patience throughout all our work on the golf course! Juan Perez OCTOBER eaglebrooke newsletter 13
