M E S S AG E F R O M T H E H OA P R E S I D E N T Holiday Greetings to our Association Members and Neighbors! Wow can you believe it; the holiday season is here, Thanksgiving is around the corner, and then on to Christmas! It is one of my favorite times of the year! I think about how lucky we are as a community, as we don’t have vandalism, petty crime and homes in disrepair, like other communities. I’m thankful that our neighbors take pride and very good care of their homes. All things considered, we are truly blessed here in Eaglebrooke. The documents listed below were approved at the October 9th HOA Board Meeting. Both documents can be found on our website (www.eaglebrooke.net) under the Document Archive link. • 2019 Budget • Rental Procedures Checklist We do not have an HOA Board meeting or Architectural Review Committee (ARC) meeting scheduled for November or December due to holiday activities scheduled at the Club. If something comes up during November or December, which requires the Board to meet, we will schedule a meeting, and make an announcement to the community. The next HOA Board meeting is scheduled for January 8th at 6:30 pm in the Clubhouse. Your input and involvement are encouraged, and much appreciated. At this meeting we will discuss and finalize a date for the HOA Annual Meeting. If you have questions, concerns, or a specific topic about our community that you would like the Board to discuss at the next meeting, please contact our onsite Property Manager, JoAnna Likar at [email protected] or by phone at 863-808-0035. JoAnna will ensure that your request is added to the meeting agenda. The next Architectural Review Committee (ARC) meeting is also scheduled for January 8th. The ARC committee will meet at 5:30 pm and provide a summary of ARC approvals to interested residents at 20 eaglebrooke newsletter NOVEMBER 6:00 pm. This committee will also continue to review ARC requests via email to help expedite the requests. The Eaglebrooke HOA Annual Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, February 19 at 6:30 pm in the Clubhouse. In preparation for the Annual Meeting, Bob Rodrigues will lead the nominating committee. I hope our neighbors will take the time from their busy schedules to come together and voice their opinions about how they want the new HOA to tackle the issues that may face our community over the next year. We have 3 board seats vacating this year (Lithea Beck, Art Fulmer and Jarrett Gregory). More information about the nominating committee will be forthcoming. With the Board nominations coming, I would like you to think about what it means to be a homeowner here in Eaglebrooke. You are part of a community, sharing common amenities, and I believe that you want to ensure that your community will be properly maintained and cared for. Having said this, I’m hoping that you will consider volunteering with our homeowner’s association (HOA). Serving as part of the Board for our HOA is something to be proud of. There is a great deal of responsibility that comes with running an HOA, but also a lot of reward. You get to take part in ensuring the health, value, safety, and continued success of your community. The HOA committee positions are unpaid, but the satisfaction of knowing your community is being well taken care of should outweigh any monetary compensation. I’ve listed 10 Reasons for you to consider serving on our HOA Board. Perhaps this list will compel you to get involved with our association! 1. Protect Your Property One of the top priorities of every homeowner is to protect the value of his or her home. Being involved with an HOA will put you in a better position to make and implement rules in your community.
