S t a t e C h a m p i o n s h i p – A p r i l 5 - 6 a t M i s s i o n I n n R e s o r t & C l u b The Florida State Golf Association continues a state-wide series of weekly interclub matches grouping clubs within your local area and playing home and away matches.               Eligibility and Cost Amateur men with an active GHIN Handicap Index of 18.4 or less Head or Assistant Golf Professionals are eligible (must have valid Florida GHIN Handicap Index) 18 years of age or older FSGA - GHIN Member Clubs only Must be on club’s official handicap roster as of January 1, 2019 $50 team entry fee No greens fees - cart fees only for matches Schedule of Matches 6 weekly matches - January 10 - February 14 Thursday afternoons 4 clubs per local group - home and away matches against each club Playoffs - February 28 – March 21 State Championship – April 5-6 at Mission Inn Resort and Club     Your Club’s Responsibility Agree to host 3 home matches (and potentially 2 playoffs) for cart fees only Practice Rounds - at Club’s discretion Team Size 8 players from your team play in each match Unlimited roster size Format of Matches & Handicaps   Individual Matches - Each player competes against an opponent of the same relative position on the opposing team Four-Ball (Best Ball) - Each player will play with a partner from his team and compete against two players from the other team Handicaps - 100% of handicaps using each player’s lowest handicap index of the previous 12 months Players and partners will be paired according to their handicap        Captain’s Responsibilities Each Club must have at least one Team Captain (Co-Captains encouraged) Anyone can serve as Team Captain Set up match arrangements with Club and host professional Set up matches online at FSGA website Organize and schedule team members Coordinate with opposing Captains Post results on FSGA website Men’s Interclub Matches ● Entry Fee $50 ● Deadline - December 12, 2018 Please mail check payable to: Florida State Golf Association, 12630 Telecom Drive, Tampa, FL 33637 For more information on the Interclub Matches please e-mail [email protected] or contact the Tournament Department at [phone].
