Eaglebrooke Association further by being a member of the
Board of Directors.
It’s very important that all residents save the date to attend
or fill out their proxy for the upcoming HOA Board of
Directors election. If you are not able to attend, please plan
to fill out your ballot/proxy. You can drop your ballot/
proxy off to JoAnna our Property Manager at the Clubhouse
or place it in the Ballot Box at the Clubhouse front desk
Monday through Friday from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm.
Please understand that for the election to count, the
community needs to achieve a quorum equal to 30% total
votes in Eaglebrooke, or roughly 185 full votes (please keep
in mind club lots count as 2/3 of a vote). This number
can be reached with either proxies or meeting attendance.
Many residents have recently shown interest in getting
involved, but without a quorum the votes won’t count. The
current board has done a great job, but several of them
have or will be resigning this year. Again, I encourage all
homeowners and residents to attend the annual meeting.
However, if you’re unable to attend the meeting, please
return your voting proxy to the Clubhouse.
Update from the HOA Board Meeting on January 15th:
1. JoAnna is looking into CD (Certificate of Deposit)
rates so the Board can determine if it makes sense to
put some of the finance reserves into CDs. Currently,
Eaglebrooke finance reserves are sitting in a checking
account, which doesn’t earn any interest.
2. JoAnna is checking with our attorney about
Eaglebrooke North bylaws, as we continue to have
issues with basketball hoops. Eaglebrooke North
bylaws state they need 65% affirmative vote to pass an
amendment, but the legal question at hand is about the
amendment being lesser or stricter than Eaglebrooke
bylaws.
3. Since FloraLawn is no longer mowing Grandview
homes or Eaglebrooke common areas, FloraLawn wants
to add one more biweekly mowing schedule to the
homes that are still under contract with the company or
increase the monthly amount the homeowners pay by a
couple dollars each month.
a. We will plan to discuss this at the next Board
meeting, which is scheduled for March 12 at 6:30 in
the Clubhouse. I encourage all homeowners to attend
this meeting and be involved in the discussion.
