Happy February Association Members and Neighbors!
It’s the month of hearts, love and valentines! February is
also a month filled with lots of lesser known holidays worth
celebrating. One to note is “Thank A Mail Carrier” day on
February 4th! There’s mail in your mailbox six days a week,
so on February 4 let’s all take timeout of our day to thank
the mail person who is responsible for getting it there!
Another big day for us this month is Tuesday, February
19. Our Eaglebrooke HOA Annual Meeting will be held at
6:30 pm at the Clubhouse on February 19. We have 4 Board
seats vacating this year, and we currently have 3 individuals
running for election this year, they are Lithea Beck, Dr.
Greg White, and Peter Savastano. The candidate’s bios are
listed below. Please take a moment to read about each of the
candidates to better understand the reason they would like
to serve on the HOA Board of Directors.
Lithea Beck: Lithea has been on the HOA Board for two
years, the last year serving as President. She has enjoyed
being on the board and describes her experience as a true
learning opportunity for better understanding about how
our by-laws are implemented and is especially thankful
for the opportunity to meet our residents and receive their
feedback. Last year the Board approved and adopted the
Rental Rules and Regulations, which took almost a year
for our board to review the document, rewrite, answer
questions from our residents, rewrite, have our attorney
review and rewrite for the final document to be approved.
Lithea is glad this was approved, as many of our residents
have concerns about who is coming in and out of our
community on a short-term basis and this was the answer
to that concern.
If Lithea is elected to the board this term she would like to
improve methods of communication within the community.
The main emphasis being on gathering email addresses
to communicate important information. Another goal for
Lithea is to investigate an electronic voting system as an
option for voting. Lithea believes we will always support
paper voting, but the addition of electronic voting will

improve efficiency and gather more votes. Lithea hopes our
residents realized the good job she’s done on the board the
last two years to earn your vote this year.
Dr. Greg White: Dr. White (Greg) signals an intent to be
a candidate for the Board of Directors of the Eaglebrooke
Community Association. Greg’s goal is to bring his
professionalism, education and business experience to
augment the Board of Directors of the Eaglebrooke HOA.
Greg is a Board-Certified Emergency Physician by the
American Board of Emergency Medicine and has been
practicing emergency medicine for the past 41 years.
Since 2013 Greg has been the Medical Director of the
Department of Emergency Medicine and responsible for
40 emergency physicians. He is a member of the Medical
Executive Committee FHHD, and the Chairman of the
Utilization Review and Medical Staff Quality Committee
FHHD Florida Hospital Heartland Division. Greg was
the head coach of Girls Varsity and the JV High School
Basketball program at Kathleen High School from 2003 to
2013. In 2018 Greg was the head coach at George Jenkins
Girls Basketball program, responsible for mentoring
30 adolescent girls including training, discipline and
fundraising. Greg and his wife LaSha have lived in
Eaglebrooke since 2015. LaSha is responsible for our
beautiful community gate holiday decorations.
Peter Savastano: Mr. Savastano (Peter) has been a resident
of Eaglebrooke since January 2015 and has been a member
of the Eaglebrooke Architectural Review Committee (ARC)
since May 2016. Peter works as a Claim Team Manager
at State Farm Insurance Company, where he’s worked for
32 years. He’s been the youth football coach for the last 4
years for the Lakeland Gators, and has also coached youth
basketball at the Lakeland YMCA and youth baseball at
South Lakeland Baseball. Peter has two children with his
wife Katie here in Eaglebrooke and has two adult children
in New Jersey. Katie is the Scott Lake Elementary School
PTO President where their 10-year-old daughter Ava
attends. Peter and Katie’s 13-year-old son Anthony attends
Lakeland Highlands Middle School. Peter and his family are
committed to the community and he would like to serve the
