LETTER FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT As the spring and summer approaches, we will be implementing our culture programs. The first aerification on the greens will be on Thursday, May 30th with 1/2” tines. If all goes as planned, we will be back to normal greens within 10-14 days. In addition to our greens aerification, we will be airing out the worn areas that were caused by the winter play throughout the golf course. In the coming weeks, we will also be starting our preventative insecticide and herbicide programs to prevent insect damage and emerging weeds. Cart path repairs will continue throughout the year. As you may have noticed, #11 pad has been repaired. The next set of pads on the schedule to be repaired is on hole #7. So far this year, we have had 11.5” of rain keeping the golf course very soggy. This amount of rainfall for this time of year is abnormally high. January, February, & March are typically our dryer months. Sincerely, Juan Perez 18 eaglebrooke newsletter APRIL
