Greetings to our Association Members and Neighbors!
It’s almost that time of year again! Goodbye Summer … Hello School!
The first day of school for Polk County students is Monday, August 13. Going back to school after a lengthy summer break
can be a time of excitement, anxiety and even a bit of sadness for students of all ages. Saying goodbye to a summer of
relaxation and fun isn’t exactly something most kids look forward to. Here are a few tips for a fantastic school year:

• Get enough sleep.
• Eat a healthy breakfast.
• Try your best.
• Use good work habits, like writing down your assignments and turning in your homework on time.
• Take your time with school work. If you don’t understand something, ask the teacher.
• Keep a sense of humor and remind yourself that school can be fun!
Also, I’d like to remind everyone in our community that beginning August 13 the school bus riders will be in front of the
Eaglebrooke entrance in the morning and afternoon. Please be aware that children are getting on and off their buses, and
parents are parked by the front entrance making sure their children are safe. Please drive with caution and watch out for
our children.
There is a CDD (Community Development District) meeting scheduled for August 7 at the Eaglebrooke Clubhouse at 6:00
pm. This meeting is to discuss the CDD budget. If you have questions about the proposed tax increase, please be sure to
attend this meeting to obtain more information about the proposal and to voice your support or your concerns.
I encourage all homeowners to try to attend the monthly HOA Board meetings, if you are not already doing so. Attending
these meetings will provide you the opportunity to make your views known to the Board and will also help you stay
in touch with the issues currently facing the Board. I understand you are all busy with work, family, hobbies and other
activities, but if you have some spare time, I hope that you might find something of interest that would encourage you to
step forward and help us in some voluntary capacity. I believe our homeowners are talented and good people, and with
your help, we can go from being a good community to the best in Polk County! The remaining Board meetings for 2018 are
listed below. I look forward to seeing you there!

• There are No HOA Board Meetings in September or December.
• All HOA Board meetings are held at the Clubhouse and begin at 6:30 pm.
• The Architectural Review Committee (ARC) will meet at 5:30 pm on the dates listed above. A summary of approvals

will be provided to interested residents at 6:00 pm.
