LETTER FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT The golf course conditions continue to be in a superb. The turf throughout is very healthy, and the weed pressure remains low. We had a very successful aerification in the month of July. We used a 3/8” tine and pulled cores this time around. The greens are now fully recovered. In addition to our greens aerification, we sliced the fairways. We will continue to do throughout the summertime to assist with the drainage and drying out the fairways. The swampy carry over area on #2 & #6 have each been cut down / trimmed. The final aerification of the greens will take place on September 10th & 11th. Thank you to all the participants that have adopted a hole this year. Every little bit helps, and your assistance is making a huge difference. The golf course is in great shape! We would like to welcome five new friends to our facility. Mama Duck had her nest eggs in one of the islands of the parking lot and was guarding them for the past couple of months. Last week, the eggs hatched. Please welcome Mama Duck’s ducklings! Juan Perez AUGUST eaglebrooke newsletter 11
