VOLUME 1, ISSUE 1, DEC -2016 #ISMEianWrites PAGE 5 RAHUL SINGH BORAYAL PGDM 2016-18 ENTREPRENEURSHIP IS AN EVER ENDING JOURNEY: MY EXPERIENCE AT ‘EXIMUS’ – IIM-B EVENT “I’m convinced that about half of what separates successful entrepreneurs from the non-successful one is pure perseverance” - Steve Jobs E ntrepreneurship is like a game, if you play it like a game and keep trying to clear each stage one after another without the fear of losing and winning with full dedication, you, in the end, are bound to win the game. Similarly, if you carry the same attitude with you while setting up your start-up then the probability of success will definitely increase. Entrepreneurship is also about the passion and zeal to create something new for the world which can last forever and give maximum possible output to the generations in terms of satisfaction, knowledge, usage of product and trust. These, at the same time provides you the monetary benefits for your entrepreneurial services to the society, nation, and world as a whole. Entrepreneurship is a journey in which you will get everyday a chance to learn something new from any of the available sources, for which all you need to do is to be focused, attentive, flexible and open to any source of knowledge which is coming on your way. So, here I am sharing with you one of my experiences, where I got the chance to learn something new about Entrepreneurship at IIM Bangalore. IIM Bangalore is a place where you get the chance of learning new things about the latest happening in the corporate world, a place which also provides you opportunity to present your idea in front of them through different events in the EXIMUS. EXIMUS, was an event in which I got a chance to participate in various sub-events, workshops and different activities which has helped me to increase my level of understanding towards the Entrepreneurship in different ways like, how to identify opportunity from our day to day activities and convert it into successful business venture, how to get funding for the new venture, role of the team in the growth of new start-up and many more aspects of Entrepreneurship. To tell about the events, that took place over there were to promote the Entrepreneurship among the new start-ups of India which were “B Founder” - Panel Discussion, “Mad Over Marketing” workshops and many more events. Under B Founder, there were alumni of IIM-B who have started their own start-ups and working very successfully in their respective field. One of them was Mr. Musthafa P C (CEO, ID Fresh Food (India) Pvt Ltd) who hails from a very remote rural background of Kerala. Few years ago, when he saw a local supplier selling Idly/Dosa batter in an unbranded plain plastic bag on weekends, and there was great demand but they couldn’t keep up the quality and quantiy. That’s when he felt there was gap in market and the idea of (ID Fresh Food (India) Pvt Ltd) triggered in his mind. So, after having this experience over there about Entrepreneurship, I can say that, IIM Bangalore had organized the event EXIMUS in a very coordinated and coherent manner and the team of EXIMUS was very polite, helpful to all the participants who came to attend different events at the IIM Bangalore. They, as a team and also individually tried their best to solve all the queries of participants, provided best possible solutions to the individuals so that each and every one got a chance of learning to the best of their ability.
