time, so for the sake of that too, talk
to more and more people. Don’t go
talking to strangers though!!!

Since I had some experience before joining PGDM,
I could evaluate myself based on my approach of
handling the challenges with the ones who didn’t
come with any prior job experience. I wasn’t the
brightest of students, but surely was one who
everyone could recognize. People are the finest and the poorest thing that
can happen to you. Most of the people you will
come across will be alright! Many will be Just
average! But, for sure, a few will be Excellent.
Plus Compliment, not just to others, compliment
yourself too.
I started feeling that there was so much I could
do if I joined PGDM early, or there is so much
that I already know, because I had previous
corporate experience. But I wanted to take out
time to write myself a few advises that I want
to remember few years down the lane plus you
guys could get a little inspired. Good people bring out the good in other people
Travel more:
I didn’t see the world a lot till I moved to
Bangalore. But, since you all have very little
responsibilities, go and explore, at least use your
weekends. Don’t go too far, but don’t go to the
same place twice. Travel to learn, discover and
feel the change.
Travel Far enough, you meet yourself (work-
save-travel-Repeat)
Forgive Others:
Not for giving peace to them, but so that you can
be in peace too. Make sure, you do forgive, but
do not forget.
Read:
Visit places where you can’t go (you know the
money is short!!), by reading books. Learn. Live
someone’s life by being that character. Don’t
watch TV, Just Don’t, its really of no use now.
The more you READ, the more THINGS you know. The
more that you LEARN the more PLACES you’ll go.
Make things/Create ideas:
You remember NEN?? Build your career not on
other people’s vision. Know what you want, and
build it.
Money won’t Create success, the freedom to
make it will. Don’t wait for opportunity, create it.
Value important things, Value time, Value
Failure and success:
I can have peace of mind only when I forgive,
rather than judge Don’t be late for anything, which will imply you
don’t value others time too, who are waiting
for you. And most importantly!! Fail a lot, at
everything, at love, making friends, projects.. But
make sure you recover really fast, and don’t fail
at the same thing for the same reason twice.
Embrace Change: The trouble is, you think you have time.
Things will continue to change, no matter you like
it or not. Continue to accept the changes, change
with them and grow, but don’t let it change the
good in you.
If we were meant to stay in one place, we’d have
roots instead of feet.
Failure is not opposite of success, It’s a part of
success.
And finally!! Have patience!!
