LETTER
FROM THE
EDITOR
As much as we love Summer, there is nothing like the energy around Fall and
the Back to School season. People seem to be “ready to go”, new oppor-
tunities and a new season have started. Even though the sun is still burning
and the heat blasting So. Cal., we have ended the beach days and head
back to work and school in our brains at 100% capacity.
Let’s start saving for the winter vacation and prepare for the holidays is my
fall mantra. The 2014 summer real estate season has been quiet but the
rush of buying a property before the end of the year has begun. This means
we are seeing plenty of activity in the last few days. DTLA has become ‘the’
destination with the world watching. The Made in America Music Festi-
val shutting down Grand Park and all the surrounding streets having major
headlining acts like John Mayer, Kanye West, Afro Jack and hundreds of
thousands of visitors setting the stage for the future of our grand city center.
Thank goodness it went off without a hitch as the world is watching and the
investments opportunities are huge for those who are smart enough to jump
in and take the plunge.
The housing market will continue to grow and there are great lofts available
to fit everyone’s budget. New retail shops are popping up on every corner
and we’ve even heard rumors of some luxury brands signing leases right in
center downtown. Will the Wilshire Grand become the new Rodeo Drive?
Let’s hope so so are able to walk for our new Louis Vuitton bag or Louboutin
Stilettos.
