Workshop Kitchen + Bar the most beautiful items which are completely worth the drive. The owner Mike is so genial and has an unmatched eye for modernism with a sense of humor that will make your decision to purchase a few pieces with fun and easy. End the afternoon with a quick stop at the Spa back at the hotel for your much-needed deep tissue massage and a relax- ing swim before getting ready for dinner. For a long time I thought that Palm Springs did not have great choices for trendy dinner spots. Well now I’ve changed my mind with the opening of Workshop Kitchen + Bar. This American-fare restaurant, which specializes in dishes and drinks based on ingredients grown and grazed within 100 miles of Palm Springs, has upped the ante for all other eateries in the area. It’s cement chic, with a communal table running the length of the restaurant and incredibly private banquettes for when you’re looking for a more exclusive, intimate experience. And the food is to die for. I know I should not but the original cocktails at Workshop Kitchen + Bar made me stop briefly at the Casino for some gambling before bed. The things I really love most in the Desert are the ability to sleep like a baby in this mystical quiet setting and seeing the amazing starlight in the dark sky each night. Each part of this quick getaway making me feel completely serene and offer- ing the guarantee of a very good night’s rest. ! ! www.theparkerpalmsprings.com www.interiorillusionshome.com www.palmspringsuptowndesigndistrict.com www.workshoppalmsprings.com
