Another romantic idea entwined with the loft fantasy is minimalist living, free of “things” and liberated by the sense of
space, but no sooner does a person move in than she asks herself, “What do I do with all my stuff?” We work with
clients and organizers to help determine what they might bring with them into the new space, and what to purge. It’s an
emotional process for many people, but one that our clients have found relieving. After this editing process, we apply
the tenets of design and conceptualize how to place what remains. As we downsize our space and live more compactly
in urban environments, our “stuff” is becoming less important and we are more attuned to what we do in our space
rather than what we have in our space. We’re excited to be part of this shift in residential living and to meet the chal-
lenges of loft design with our unique sensitivity and conceptual approach—in Los Angeles and beyond.
Delta Wright is the cofounder of Curated. A bicoastal interior design studio creating artful spaces for living. Delta re-
ceived a M.S. in Interior Design from Pratt Institute and holds a B.F.A. from the University of Illinois in Glass and Ceram-
ics. Besides New York, her work and studies have taken her from Denmark to Saudi Arabia and landed her in Los Ange-
les where she fosters her passion for unique visual identities, vertical occupation, sustainability and artful living.
