FOH, (restaurant-speak for “front of the house”) brings upscale Mexican cuisine and a decidedly updated room to the Financial District.
The man in the kitchen is famed Cabo San Lucas Chef Rodrigo Cabeza de Vaca. FOH is his
first stateside space. I’ll let the foodies dissect the nuances of the menu, but know that great
thought and care has been put into both celebrating tradition dishes and pushing the envelope with unexpected ingredients.
The newly reworked interiors strike a contemporary balance of industrial hard edge surfaces
and rustic materials and touches. A real plus for the lunch crowd is the outdoor patio providing not only air fresco but a first rate view of the parade of humanity up and down Flower
Street. A full-service bar offers a spectrum of alternatives to entering the crush of traffic at
day’s end.
