Way back when Hammer and Spear first opened on what was then considered the eastern hinterlands of 3rd Street, some
puzzled why the store was placed so far from the action of 3rd and Traction.
The store has been very successful, but the opening of the One Sante Fe apartment/retail complex was a game changer. A
few more cranes popped up in the adjacent streets. The axis shifted, and the demand for their merchandise took off. So when
the adjacent space that formerly housed the leasing office for One Santé Fe became available, Hammer and Spear expanded,
creating a 4,000 square foot world of furnishings, lamps, artwork, vintage barware, apothecary items and all manner of knickknacks. Husband and wife t X[H
