RETAIL
REVOLUTION
!
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES IS READY FOR ITS
REVOLUTION. THE RENAISSANCE IS HERE AND
THIS YEAR WILL PROVE IT, AND HERE IS WHY.
Downtown Los Angeles is about to change and 2014 will be a turning point. After several years of great bars, coffee shops
and restaurants openings, now we are seeing a revolution in retail. First we saw a few independent retailers open in the his-
toric core with mainly consignments and recycling offerings. In 2013 Brookfield’s Properties revamped their 7 & Fig Shopping
Center and renamed it FIGat7th when Target decided to open their first Store in Downtown LA. Soon after, Sport Chalet
opened and now we are waiting for the upcoming Zara and H&M fashion stores along with; LensCrafters, Sunglass Hut, Bath
& Body Works and Victoria’s Secret. Even luxury brands are making their comeback, and the opening of ACNE STUDIOS in
the Eastern Columbia Building prove that we are becoming a destination for every need. Rumors are flying and soon we ex-
pect to hear an announcement about a very high end european luxury brand finally arriving in Downtown LA.
