DrPH Program of Study
DrPH students must complete a doctoral curriculum designed to provide advanced level knowledge of the five
domains of public health plus other foundational courses. Combined these courses cover advanced areas of
epidemiology, environmental health, biostatistics, research methods, health planning, and policy administration
as well as social and behavioral factors in public health. In addition to the foundational courses, doctoral
students must undertake a practicum as well as complete dissertation research centered courses. A minimum of
sixty (60) credits hours are required for the Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) Degree.
