“What’s going on?” Henry called to the man in the boat.

“Soldiers are rioting and looting. They are angry at President Motubu, think he’s betraying the country.”

“There’s always something,” Henry muttered.

“Can we go around the city?” Jackson asked.

“We have to get supplies,” Samson answered.

“They won’t stop us, will they?” Dr. Kali asked.

Henry opened a metal crate and removed two M-14 rifles. He forced one into the arms of Dr. Kali. “Here you go, doctor. Keep us safe.”

“I can’t use this,” the doctor said.

Jackson took the weapon from the doctor, “I’ll take it, doctor.”

“Everyone keep an eye out and don’t let your guard down,” Henry commanded.

Samson steered the boat forward, down the river, into the city that burned and screamed like a biblical apocalypse.
