Young Artists of Ellwood School

By Mrs. Toller

PHILADELPHIA, PA - The students described what they see when they look into the night sky. They talked about our planet, Earth and its place in the solar system. They studied the phases of the moon; meteors; space dust and gas that trigger the formation of stars; star clusters and galaxies.

Students were intrigued by the images of falling stars, and stories about the constellations. They imagined looking at the earth from outer space and then looking into space from home base on Earth. The students depicted their visions in vivid color.
