NEW SHERIFF IN TOWN
Low qualifier Stephen Yantus ( far lane ) leads Steve Comella off the starting line in the final round of the Dodge HEMI Challenge held at the NHRA U . S . Nationals . Yantus held the lead through the finish line , as he defeated Comella with a 8.41-second pass at 158.28 mph to Comella ’ s 8.76 at 129.10 . Both drivers of the HEMI-powered ‘ 68 Plymouth Barracudas were appearing in their first HEMI Challenge final round . Yantus was crowned the first new winner of the prestigious event in five years .
