WITH THE SOCIAL DISTANCING PROTOCOLS SET IN PLACE BY STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS ACROSS THE COUNTRY, HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION CEREMONIES HAVE BEEN HIT HARD JUST LIKE RACES, FORCING SCHOOLS TO CANCEL THEM OR HOLD VIRTUAL GATHERINGS TO HONOR THE CLASS OF 2020. THE PDRA HAS A NUMBER OF HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS GRADUATING THIS SPRING, FROM JR. DRAGSTER DRIVERS AND CREW MEMBERS TO FAMILY MEMBERS WHO SUPPORT THE SERIES. TO RECOGNIZE THEIR ACCOMPLISHMENTS IN THE ABSENCE OF TRADITIONAL GRADUATION CEREMONIES, THE SERIES CONGRATULATES ITS 2020 GRADUATES HERE ON THE PAGES OF DRAG ILLUSTRATED. [EDITOR’S NOTE: RACERS AND THEIR FAMILIES WERE ASKED TO SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING GRADUATE PROFILES AND PHOTOS ON THE PDRA RACERS & TEAMS FACEBOOK GROUP.] AMBER FRANKLIN ( ON COVER ) Franklin, the 2017 Pro Jr. Dragster world champion, is graduating from Colonial Forge High School in Stafford, Virginia, and also finishing her first year in dual enrollment at Germanna Community College. Amber will continue at Germanna in the fall taking online classes to obtain her associates degree in Business Administration. She will then transfer to Liberty University online classes to obtain her masters in Business Administration. She works full-time in the family-owned business, Franklin Electric Co., Inc. Amber is set to debut her Top Dragster in the PDRA series once racing resumes. She has been drag racing since she was 10 1/2 years old. She plans to race in Top Dragster for a year or two, then run Pro Outlaw 632, and eventually run Pro Nitrous alongside her dad, two-time world champion Tommy Franklin. JARROD KISSINGER Kissinger, a Top Dragster driver, is graduating from Tulpehocken High School TVA (Tulpy Virtual Academy). Jarrod always knew that he was going to work for the family business, Ken’s Kustom Chassis Inc., as far back as first grade. He is a third-generation drag racer and dreams about racing professionally. He has grown up at the dragstrip and won the Eastern Conference Finals back in 2014-2015 race seasons along with many other accomplishments. KYLIE GORE Gore, the daughter of PDRA announcer Scotty Gore, is graduating from JM Robinson High School in Concord, North Carolina. She will be attending the University of South Carolina in the fall, majoring in Computer Science and Mathematics. DESTINY LEILANI Leilani, the daughter of Pro Outlaw 632 and Extreme Pro Stock driver Dillon Voss, is graduating from Seminole Ridge High School. She was accepted to Florida Atlantic University, where she is studying Business Finance. 44 PDRA660.com
