Ronnie Hobbs comes to a stop in his new-look Lonestar Corporation ‘17 Mustang
after his burnout in the second round of Radial vs. the World competition at
the U.S. Street Nationals. Hobbs’ weekend in the former Daniel Pharris Mustang
started off with major electrical issues, which resulted in the Pro Line Racing
Engines team assembling a brand-new engine overnight and delivering it to the
track. Hobbs went on to run a career-best 3.691 in the final qualifying session. He
laid down a 3.70 in the first round, then went red against Brian Markiewicz, who
became the third-quickest driver in RVW history with his 3.563 at 209.20 mph.
