the finest ones we could
have for our race.”
Established in 2011,
the One Cure initiative is
founded on the principle
that cancer affects all crea-
tures and treatment break-
throughs come through
collaboration between sci-
entists and doctors working
with people and animals.
Known as comparative
oncology, this approach is
the guiding concept of One
Cure and the Flint Animal
Cancer Center at Colorado
State University.
One Cure and the World
Series of Pro Mod have
worked together since the
outset of the race, and it’s
had a strong impact on
both parties.
“It’s been a great expe-
rience at the World Series
of Pro Mod,” One Cure’s
Greg Schumann said. “The
excitement of the race and just the consistent,
positive energy, it’s so refreshing. They are all
here to race and have a great time. All of them
are here to put on a show for the fans, and
they’re so willing to help the cause. Our No. 1
goal is to create awareness and we’re definitely
on the grassroots side of it. For this race, it’s just
been phenomenal.”
Elite Motorsports is a premier dealer for
motor transportation needs, offering a huge
variety of semi transporters, motor coaches,
gooseneck and stacker trailers, specialty hos-
pitality and point of sale units, as well as new
and used high performance engines, race cars
and racing equipment.
The company has established itself as a leader
in the industry, and the owners have an extensive
background in motorsports, including owning
and operating professional race teams.
Big O Tires joined as a sponsor in 2019 and
is one of North America’s largest retail tire
franchisors. They have more than 450 fran-
chisee-owned and two company-owned stores,
primarily in the Western and Midwestern Unit-
ed States. As part of the
partnership, the WSOPM
was advertised on radio
stations throughout the
Denver area, allowing for
increased promotion and
buildup leading to the race.
“It’s pretty incredible to
have a company like Big
O Tires on board for the
World Series of Pro Mod.
Never in my wildest dreams
did I imagine working with
a huge company like that
for a race,” Buck said. “It’s
a tribute to how we’ve
built the race and the re-
lationships we’ve formed
with everyone at Bandi-
mere Speedway.
“And to work with a pre-
mier motorsports company
like Elite in this capacity
just shows the impact we’ve
had in drag racing. People
have taken notice and it’s
awesome that they see the
WSOPM as an ideal place
to spend their sponsor-
ship dollars.”
In addition to the four
presenting sponsors, sev-
eral companies were in-
volved as class sponsors.
MagnaFuel and Menholt
Auto Group sponsored the
Pro Star 16 and Quick Star
16 Shootouts. One Cure
was represented on the
One Cure Shootout for the
drivers who didn’t qualify
for the Pro Star and Quick
Star Shootouts, as well as
on the Reverse Race. JR
Race Car presented the
7.90 Shootout for Jr. Drag-
ster competitors, and Su-
noco sponsored the King
Street class.
The third annual World Series of Pro Mod
was also made possible by a wide range of asso-
