Don Walsh Jr. in his sleek Walsh Motorsports C7 Corvette sails off into the
sunset on his final qualifying pass at the NMCA/NMRA Super Bowl of Street-
Legal Drag Racing. Walsh qualified No. 1 with a 3.74 in the twin-turbocharged,
Brad Anderson-powered ‘Vette before racing to the event victory in Xtreme
Pro Mod. The multi-time NMRA Pro 5.0 champion is well on his way to his first
Xtreme Pro Mod championship, as the Michigan-based driver won the Atlanta
and Joliet races and fell in the Memphis final round, giving him a commanding
points lead even after missing the season-opening Bradenton race.
