KICKIN’ COLT
Sam Petrulis picks up the front wheels in his “Lightning Colt” ‘72 Dodge Colt during
qualifying for the Nostalgia Drag Racing League’s Summer Speed Spectacular held in
conjunction with Mel Roth’s PSCA Street Car Super Nationals St. Louis. Petrulis qualified
No. 7 in the 38-car Pro Gas field with a 9.510 on his 9.50 index and went on to defeat
Sam Patrick in the final round. Petrulis also went to the final round in Gas competition
at the NHRA National Hot Rod Reunion in Bowling Green, Kentucky, in mid-June.
