PRODUCTS & PRESS AEROMOTIVE INTRODUCES NEW VARIABLE-SPEED CONTROLLED PUMPS AND CONTROLLER ■ Aeromotive has pioneered speed controlled fuel pumps in the past with its brush-style pumps, enhancing the ability to take high flow pumps and put them on the street. The new Vari- able-Speed Controlled pumps do the same for brushless applica- tions by reducing fuel flow during low-demand situations. Reducing fuel flow from the tank to the engine and back helps com- bat overheating of the fuel, while limiting the noise bigger pumps produce. The lower fuel flow will also extend the already long life of Aeromotive’s brushless pumps. “These new controllers make our bigger pumps— the Brushless A10000, Eliminator, and even our 3.5 and 5 gpm pump—much more street-capable,” said Jeff Stacy, Vice President of Aeromotive. “They re- duce fuel flow during low demand and really minimize the introduc- tion of heat, improving on an al- ready successful product.” The Variable-Speed Controllers include a 0-5V analog input that allows for infinite speed control in the set voltage range. They will be included on new brushless pumps and sold as a replacement part for anyone with an existing Aero- motive brushless product with a simple three-wire hookup. MOROSO VALVE COVER BREATHER KITS ■ Moroso introduces U-Weld Alu- minum Valve Cover Breather Kits, Part No. 68852 has a 1” breather with a chrome finish and Part No. 68853 has a 1” breather with a black finish. They provide an easy way of adding a breather to 70 | D r a g an aluminum valve cover with a minimum amount of cutting and welding. Feature a billet aluminum baffled screw in adapter, weld-in bung, a cleanable and re-usable 1” breather with either a chrome or black finish. I l l u s t r a t e d | DragIllustrated.com NEW ULTRA FAB HOUSING FROM STRANGE ENGINEERING ■ Strange Engineering, the leader in driveline and suspension for over 50 years, is proud to intro- duce the new Ultra Fab housing to its line of rear end components. The ultra fab housing features a 0.375” thick face plate and triangu- lated design that improves rigidity and superior tube support, which increases overall housing stiff- ness. The housing tubes are fully welded to the center and further reinforced with radial gusset plates on the inside of the housing result- ing in less deflection and straighter launches. The Ultra Fab housing is available in a variety of configura- tions to accommodate any racing application from bolt-in street applications to purpose built race cars. TRANS TUNNEL KITS FROM CHASSISWORKS ■ Fabricating a trans- mission tunnel for any race car, street ma- chine, classic truck or hot rod can easily be accomplished thanks to new kits from Chris Alston’s Chas- sisworks. Available for both manual and automatic transmis- sions, the kits feature pre-formed 18-gauge steel panels that are tack-welded in place. Designed to ac- commodate popular transmissions, like the Tremec Magnum T- 56 or General Mo- tors 4L80E, the 35” long tunnels can easily be shortened for tighter fits on other transmissions. The tunnel height is intentionally tall to provide adequate transmission room on vehi- cles with extremely low ride heights and can be trimmed if necessary. The bellhousing diameter for both is 22.1” and the tunnel can be positioned to fit an existing fire- wall opening and also trimmed. To carry it further, complete firewall kits are available from Chassisworks, as are floorboards, driveshaft tunnels, wheel tubs and rear flooring. Issue 146
