“We’re running a little bit of a different setup. We kept the carburetor,
but we’re running coil-on-plugs. So there’s one coil per cylinder. That’s
something that’s a little different than what’s normally done. It’s given us
the ability to have more control over the combustion, being able to control
individual cylinders. Before, with the distributor, although possible, it was
very difficult to do. Just being able to run everything in the car through
the ECU, it’s even automated the fuel pump, the fan, the water pump
– it all comes on in a predetermined fashion. It’ll come on at a certain
temperature or certain rpms. Basically, the car is automated and being run
through the FuelTech exclusively.
