FIRST TO 300 IN QATAR
Del Worsham, the 2015 NHRA Funny Car world champion, makes Qatari drag racing history
as he records the first pass for a nitro-fueled race car in the Middle East. The shakedown
pass was the first of several passes Worsham made at the 10-year-old facility after
shipping his Lucas Oil Toyota Camry via air freight into Qatar. Joined by his team led by his
father, Chuck, Worsham ultimately ripped off a 4.13-second 1,000-foot pass that lit up the
scoreboard with a 4.82 at 304.61 mph in the quarter mile to obliterate the track records.
