NOW IN ITS FOURTH YEAR, the Drag Illustrated 30 Under 30
list is our way of validating the efforts of the 30 young men and
women whose names and faces cover the next two dozen pages. In this
digital age with so many ways for young people to spend their time, it’s
encouraging to know that drag racing remains the hobby, pastime, or
even career path of choice for an underestimated number of millennials
across the country and around the world.
The Drag Illustrated staff has the unique opportunity to learn about

hundreds of these cases every year when we ask the drag racing masses to
nominate the most deserving young drag racers in their circle. We pore over
each of these submission forms, carefully considering a variety of factors like
the nominee’s most recent accomplishments on and off the track and the like-
lihood that they’ll continue to carry the sport forward as the next generation
of outstanding drivers, tuners, crew members, fabricators, track operators and
media members. The process is not taken lightly, and we’re truly confident
when we say the resulting list is made up of drag racing’s brightest rising stars.
