lizer creates an added level of stabilization for
your race car, show car or collectible during
transport. Inflating the chassis stabilizer under
the most flexible point on the chassis supports
some weight of the vehicle and provides a stabi-
lizing air ride. This additional support prevents
damage and wear to the chassis and suspen-
sion components. Two shape options (round or
rectangular) and a 1.75” profile make the chassis
stabilizer applicable for a wide range of vehicles.

assemblies offered by highly respected compo-
nents manufacturer Manley Performance. The
Lakewood, New Jersey based firm now has 23
different BBC assemblies that come with vari-
ous bore sizes and crank strokes. The crank-
shafts are forged from 4340 alloy steel, come
with or without center counterweights, and are
available in six different strokes that range from
4.000” to 4.750”. Combine these with a variety of
Manley’s Platinum Series pistons with bore sizes
up to 4.625” and a displacement of 632 cubic
inches is possible. Pistons are forged from the
preferred 2618 alloy aluminum and available in
dish, flat-top or dome designs to provide from 8.1
to 16.6:1 compression ratios, depending on the
combustion chamber size. The domes are com-
patible with popular aftermarket cylinder heads.
Manley’s race-proven 4340 forged steel H-Beam
connecting rods are included, and are rated at
900 horsepower with the standard ARP 8740
rod bolts or 1500 HP with the optional ARP2000
cap screws. Completing the assembly—which
comes factory balanced to ±1% bob weight and
also available precision balanced—are Total Seal
piston rings and Clevite bearings, (narrowed H
or standard P series).
