Texas-based Fuel Altered ace Terry Brian does his best to light
up the night sky at the 4th annual Pro Mod vs. Fuel Altered
Showdown at Gene Nicodemus’ notorious North Star Dragway.
Brian’s “Nitro Warrior” was strong enough to earn the No. 4
qualifying slot for the shootout on a 3.96-second, 146mph early
shutoff run, but suffered mechanical gremlins that forced him
to hit the kill switch after his burnout in the opening round of
eliminations. Nonetheless, Brian’s beastly machine was good for
header flames well past the rear wing on every outing prior, and
was the surefire crowd favorite during Friday night qualifying.
